What is Oho Mauri?
Oho Mauri is a 10 Week Programme using Te Reo Māori as a foundation in bringing an awakening to all aspects of our body, mind and spirit. This program is dedicated to uplifting our knowledge and understanding of exercise, nutrition and mindfulness.
These 10 weeks will be delivered through a range of mediums like workout plans, meditation & mindfulness practices, as well as teachings & techniques that will help you navigate and bring about a deeper awareness of your state of mind in achieving your health & well being goals.
Funded by Te Mātāwai, the mission and vision of Oho Mauri is to bring about a balance and awakening of our Mind, Body and Spirit.
Is this for me?
This programme will consist of four one day wānanga throughout the 10 weeks, as well as an online forum with regular communication and discussions each week. Oho Mauri is currently looking for people interested in joining the second intake that will start mid in 2019.
IF YOU ARE...
passionate about Te Reo Māori regardless of proficiency
focused on your health & well being
committed to learning and exploring new lifestyle changes
eager to improve on all aspects of one's self
not afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone
prepared to give it a go - no matter what
THEN WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
This programme is FREE and open to anyone who answered yes to the above questions!
Each of the 4 wānanga will take in place at Newton Central School in Auckland Central, so you must be able to organise your own transport to and from each wānanga. Further information will be sent once you apply.
Outside of the wānanga, there will be a series of online calls during these 10 weeks that you must attend - so make sure you have access to internet. The rest of the time will be self guided learning through homework that will be given by your facilitator.
